Committed to providing our customers with state-of-the-art metallizing technologies, at Metalizing Specialists, LLC, our capabilities are ideally suited for the needs of various heavy metal industries. The thermal spray metallizing process propels molten particles of metal at high velocity, quickly cooling and bonding to a surface. We’re experts in the thermal spray process and offer the ability to apply numerous materials on a variety of substrates. This expertise is augmented by our production flexibility, which allows us to economically metalize even single parts in as little as one week.

In the project highlighted here, we used our thermal spray metallizing process to apply a coating of tungsten carbide onto 1045 cast steel tension reel segments, which are part of a steel manufacturing process. Each tension reel measured over 4′ in length and had a diameter of 16 ½”, with the areas designated receiving a metallized coating between 0.005″ and 0.007″ thick. A total of 3 cast steel tension segments were processed, providing a cost efficient and effective way to surface finish these parts for our client. Content with our professional service and quality, our client continues to work with us on additional projects for metallizing steel manufacturing parts. We strive for the highest level of quality, competitive pricing, and continuously educate our workforce on the latest techniques and solutions in thermal spray applications.
